After the success of its "Akkeshi New Born" and "Akkeshi Single Malt Whisky Lightly Peated Sarorunkamuy" in 20cl, the first single malt whisky from Akkeshi is now available in 70cl: "AKKESHI Single Malt Peated Kanro." This marks five years since the operation of the first distillery in the town of Akkeshi in Hokkaido began. Bottled in 2020, this limited edition whisky is one of only 15,000 bottles, showcasing the expertise and dedication of the Akkeshi Distillery. Crafted in Japan, it boasts an ABV of 55% and comes in a 700ml bottle, capturing the essence of Japanese whisky-making tradition with a modern twist.
This whisky offers complex aromas of BBQ, brine, spices, and red fruits, with smoky notes. On the palate, it has piercing citrus, apple, smoke, and peaty notes. The finish is long, smoky, and spicy with hints of peat and oak.
Only 15,000 bottles of this limited edition whisky were produced.
