The second and third casks contain single pot still Irish whiskey distilled in 1991 and matured in second-fill ex-bourbon barrels. The fourth cask holds single pot still Irish whiskey distilled in 1991, aged in an ex-bourbon barrel and then re-casked into a sherry butt in 2011. These four components were meticulously married together in the original Ruby Port cask for an additional 105 days, resulting in a whiskey abundant in flavor with intriguing fortified wine influences. The final product is a 28-year-old single pot still whiskey, embodying the signature style of Redbreast with added complexity from the Ruby Port finish.
