On the palate, the whisky is strong yet creamy and mouth-filling. Smoke rolls over the palate, accompanied by fruitiness and sour limes and grapefruit with slightly bitter notes. A malty sweetness fits wonderfully, while the smoke settles in the entire mouth with pepper and salt. Tannins are noticeable, with hints of burnt rubber and licorice on subsequent sips.
The finish is long, with smoke lingering in your mouth, accompanied by pepper, ginger, leather, rubber, salt, and licorice. The dark chocolate aroma turns into chewed coffee beans on the palate. The smoke is slightly dry but still offers a really good whisky experience.
