I'm impressed by this Millstone! It's definitely not heavily peated compared to an average Islay of the same age, but it reminds me of much older mildly peated malts. The nose is a delightful mix of green fruits and mild peat, while the taste develops beautifully with a pinch of salt, dark chocolate, and gentle spices. The finish offers waves of medium peat smoke and juicy fruits, rounding off with a slight plastic off-note. To my tastebuds, it was the best I had in a line-up of 8 Millstones. Truly a remarkable find.
