Meikle Toir is distilled for 6 weeks per year, using mainland peat, and has a long fermentation time of 160 hours, which contributes to its fruity, estery character. The whisky is bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration or added color.
The Original release is the first core range expression from Glenallachie distillery since its takeover in 2017, where the distillation and maturation process is fully controlled by Billy Walker and his team.
