The Macallan Edition No.2 is a limited edition Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled in 2016 with an ABV of 48.2% and a volume of 700ml. This expression is the second release in the Macallan Edition series and is the result of a unique collaboration between Macallan's master blender Bob Dalgarno and the acclaimed Spanish chefs Joan, Josep, and Jordi Roca, from the world-renowned El Celler de Can Roca restaurant in Girona, Spain. This restaurant has been twice named the best in the world by Restaurant magazine. The Macallan Edition No.2 showcases the distillery's extraordinary commitment to sourcing and selecting only the finest oak casks. The whisky has been matured in a combination of 1st fill Jose Martin casks, 1st and 2nd fill Diego Martin casks, 1st and 2nd fill Vasyma American puncheons, and 1st fill Tevasa casks. Each cask was personally selected by the collaborators to reflect their personality and creative spirit. The Tevasa casks contribute dried fruit and sherry notes, the Jose Miguel Martin casks add spicy ginger, the Diego Martin casks bring rich greenwood and toffee flavors, and the Vasyma American oak casks provide light vanilla and citrus notes. These distinct flavors come together to form rich layers of warmth and complexity in Edition No.2. Please note that there may be minor creasing to the edges of the box for some bottles.
