The distinctive and dynamic character of Edition No. 2 has been meticulously crafted through the use of seven exceptional oak cask types sourced from four different bodegas. The whisky has been matured in a harmonious blend of 1st fill Jose Martin casks, 1st and 2nd fill Diego Martin casks, 1st and 2nd fill Vasyma American puncheons, and 1st fill Tevasa casks. Each cask type was hand-selected by the collaborators to reflect their unique personalities and creative spirits, resulting in a remarkably rich and complex whisky.
The Tevasa casks, chosen by Bob Dalgarno, impart dried fruit and sherry notes. The Jose Miguel Martin casks, selected by Sommelier Josep Roca, introduce spicy ginger flavors. The Diego Martin casks, chosen by head chef Joan Roca, bring rich greenwood and toffee flavors, while the Vasyma American oak casks, selected by pastry chef Jordi Roca, add light vanilla and citrus notes. These diverse flavors converge in Edition No. 2, forming rich layers of warmth and complexity.
