Bottled at 43% ABV, this whisky features an official Diageo Flora & Fauna label, which artistically depicts a pair of swans often seen swimming in the pond near the distillery, known as the Linkwood Burn, which is used to collect cooling water.
This expression stands out with a greener and creamier profile while still retaining Linkwood's characteristic delicate sweetness. The initial impression on the nose is a refreshing bouquet of fresh soft fruit with a hint of vanilla in the background. Subtle notes of a cigar box and a faint hint of expensive women’s perfume are also discernable. When allowed to breathe or with the addition of water, the whisky opens up to reveal delicate floral notes of carnation and lavender, complemented by a whiff of scented smoke. Traces of sap-filled green twigs, cedarwood, and undertones of pomander or dried orange peel enrich the aromatic complexity.
