Iain McArthur hand-selected this whisky, marrying together well-matured refill American oak and first-fill ex-bourbon European oak butts to craft a truly unique expression. Lagavulin, one of the three active distilleries on the southern coast of Islay, is renowned for its heavily-peated single malt whiskies. The distillery’s signature style is a harmonious blend of strong sweetness and pronounced phenolicity, resulting in a well-balanced and nuanced whisky.
