The packaging for the entire Viking Legend series is designed by Jim Lyngvild, a renowned Danish designer and artist, whose 36th great grandfather was Ragnvald Eysteinsson, the first Earl of the Orkney Islands.
The Valkyrie's packaging design is inspired by ancient artifacts, including the Hammer Stone of Gotland and a Viking pendant from Upland, Sweden. According to Norse mythology, Valkyries descended upon battlefields to find the best and bravest warriors, granting them passage to Valhalla.
