This 2019 release from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co Ltd. is a small batch, Islay peated single malt whisky, named after the ancient home of the "Lords of the Isles" at Finlaggan Castle. Although there is no distillery at Finlaggan Castle, this enigmatic whisky is sourced from one of Islay's finest, yet undisclosed, distilleries. Finlaggan "Old Reserve" is celebrated for its rich peat smoke aroma, complemented by the maritime qualities of the Scottish seashore where it matures.
