Introducing the Duality Blended Malt Whisky CB Ex-Bourbon & PX Sherry Casks, a unique collaboration between our store and Bimber, a renowned distiller from London. This special whisky is the result of a vatting exchange between sherry-casked whiskies, where each team combines it with different peated malts to create their own expression under the name "Duality".
Our whisky team took Bimber single malt, aged in PX sherry casks, and combined it with intensely peated 'teaspooned' whisky from the Ardbeg distillery. In return, we provided a sherry butt whisky from the Glendullan distillery to Matt McKay of Bimber.
The whisky boasts a strong peat and iodine presence, with Ardbeg being distinctly present and dominant in the aroma. Tropical fruit and beach BBQ notes are also present. The palate is a fantastic combination of peat and fruit, full-bodied, rich, spicy, nutty, sweet, and with a powerful aroma.
This whisky is a true testament to the art of blending and the unique characteristics of each component. A must-try for whisky enthusiasts and collectors.
