For years, the Scottish independent bottler Signatory Vintage from the Highlands has been synonymous with consistent quality and a selective cask selection. In this release, Signatory has chosen a special sherry cask from the renowned Highland distillery, Deanston. The cask, numbered 900128, was first filled on 28.08.2006 and bottled on 24.07.2018, giving this Deanston whisky an age of 11 years. This cask was used for whisky maturation for the first time, hence referred to as a "First Fill" by the Scots. This unique release is a Single Cask whisky, untouched and unmixed with other casks. It offers an unadulterated glimpse into the exciting Highland distillery, Deanston, known for its creamy and rich notes wonderfully complemented by the fresh, active sherry cask. Numerous fruity tones and spice notes, such as cloves and cinnamon, make their way into this Deanston whisky.
This whisky is unique due to its Single Cask nature, First Fill Sherry cask maturation, and high ABV of 64.7%, ensuring a distinctive and intense flavor profile.
Only 647 bottles were produced from this special cask, making it a rare release.
The whisky features a blend of honey, ripe fruits, sweet pastry, and various spice notes, creating a complex and memorable drinking experience.
