Distilled by Bruichladdich, a distillery set on the scenic Isle of Islay and founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, this whisky continues the tradition of unpeated single malts for which the distillery is famous. Although Bruichladdich experienced a period of closure in 1995, it was revitalized in 2001 by Murray McDavid, under the innovative direction of Master Distiller Jim McEwan. Since its revival, Bruichladdich has released notable expressions, including the medium-peated Port Charlotte in 2006 and the heavily-peated Octomore in 2008. The distillery was acquired by the French drinks group Remy Cointreau in 2012.
The Bruichladdich Links collection pays homage to Scotland's twin passions: whisky and golf. This 15-year-old single malt, bottled in 2008, is aged to perfection and embodies the distillery's dedication to quality and innovation.
