The sharp edges have been smoothed out, leaving a pleasant sweetness of corn and new American oak, along with a hint of spiced gingerbread.
The distillery opted for a bourbon under their own label, as they had never released one before. I have the idea that the rye content in this dram is higher than average for a straight bourbon. It's not as coating as some other bourbons, and has quite some "green" notes of juniper and rosemary. If you are looking for a bourbon which is not overly sweet, this could be a good pick!
