It was here, at the gates of Paris and Little California, that this grand aroma rum, with an ABV of 40%, was bottled in the 1970s. This grand aroma emanates from the French Antilles. Today, grand aromas are highly sought after, whether they come from the French Antilles, Jamaica, or elsewhere. Having taken over his father-in-law's liqueur factory around 1860, Paul Clacquesin, an herbalist pharmacist, invented an aperitif drink that would bear his name: Le Clacquesin. A pleasant vintage discovery from Martinique, likely made primarily from molasses and probably with various aromatic additions.
