In 2020, the Neisson distillery celebrated its 88th anniversary with the release of two special edition VSOP rums. The first edition, limited to just 1200 bottles and sold exclusively at the distillery in Martinique, is now available for purchase. This exceptional rum, labeled Neisson VSOP 44% 700ml, spent nearly 5 years maturing in barrels, with aging commencing on July 9, 2015, and bottling on April 16, 2020. The ABV of 44% pays homage to the anniversary (44% = 88 US Proof). Each bottle is individually numbered, enhancing its uniqueness and collectability.
The second VSOP edition, released by La Maison du Whisky (LMDW), follows a different aging process.
