For the first time since 2019, Neisson presents a new single cask creation in the LMDW catalog, bottled on June 28, 2022, at cask strength. This exceptional rum was matured in a 200-liter American oak barrel and rested in the Main Main cellar, which has the highest average temperature (27.7°C) and an average humidity of 77% among the distillery's various cellars. This edition, limited to just 240 bottles, reveals a tenderly herbaceous and infused aromatic and gustatory palette, abundantly fruity and entirely free of woody notes.
Surprisingly mild and balanced for its impressive 58.1% ABV, this Neisson rum offers typical herbal-grassy notes of young Agricoles, complemented by fruity (grape-like) and vanilla nuances. On the palate, the alcohol becomes slightly more noticeable yet remains well-integrated, revealing flavors of coffee, burnt sugar, and toasted barrel. The finish exudes light fresh grass, pleasant spiciness, and sweetness, almost reminiscent of classic Agricole rums. Overall, this is a highly seductive and solid bottling, showcasing Neisson's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
