This exquisite rum, distilled, aged, and bottled by Rhumeries Duquesne in Fort-de-France, traces its origins back to the 19th century. The brand's history underwent significant evolution when, in 1953, the Marraud des Grottes family, already owning the Duquesne distillery, acquired the Trois Rivieres estate. They marketed aged Trois Rivieres rums under the Duquesne brand until 1972. Production continued on-site until 2004, when the distillation column was transferred to La Mauny. Today, Duquesne rum is reserved for the local market and is owned by the BBS Group (Bellonie Bourdillon Successeurs), also the proprietors of La Mauny and Trois Rivieres brands.
