The melasse is complemented by intriguing soy sauce notes, which become increasingly decadent with the addition of cinnamon bark and grated tonka bean.
Upon aeration, a light wisp of smoke emerges, reminiscent of a gentle, vegetal brushfire. This smoke seamlessly blends with the dark, fragrant notes of the initial aroma, hinting at the smoky character of whisky. The rum delivers a subtly dry palate, with a bright, lightly toasted nougat flavor that is not overly caramelized, allowing the fruit and cane flavors to shine through. Similar to the reduced version, this rum is a blend of both molasses-based and pure cane juice rums, distilled in columns at the Epris Distillery in Brazil.
