As an avid collector of Clement rums, I was excited to try the Clement 2000 Rare Cask Collection Lion's Choice 16yo. However, I found this particular release to be somewhat unbalanced, possibly due to its extended aging. The nose and palate both present a complex mix of herbal and floral notes, accompanied by apple, vanilla, and nuts. The long finish continues these themes but the overall experience feels less harmonious compared to other Clement offerings. While it has its merits, it doesn't quite measure up to the high standards set by other Clement rums in my collection.
