Habitation Velier is a brand of exceptional rums founded by Italian distribution company Velier and rum connoisseur Luca Gargano. Habitation Velier rums are a celebration of the old traditional distillation process, which produces pure single rums distilled using only the pot still method and sourced exclusively from a single distillery.

On the label of these rums, you can read detailed information about the ageing process, as well as the amount of angel tax. The brand prides itself on traditional rum production without colouring or flavouring with caramel; they produce them from both sugar cane and molasses. The ageing process is accelerated by the tropical conditions in which the single rums are kept. Habitation Velier are rums that no rum lover should miss, whether they enjoy a glass on the rocks or are a fan of mixology.
The two-year-old single rum was created in collaboration between Lucy Gargan and Richard Seale, distilled using the Pot Still method from Barbadian molasses and aged in oak ex-cognac barrels. Its flavour is bold and spicy, with ginger and subtle hints of chilli on the tongue. The tangy flavour is balanced by a sweet combination of banana and strawberry with a subtle hint of vanilla and caramel. The spices give this rum an unusual character, while the vanilla-fruit base follows the traditional rum flavour. The notes of sugar cane and buttery vanilla pod flavours interrupt the tartness of the citrus and forest fruits with a peppery finish leave you in no doubt - you are facing an extraordinary young and powerful rum whose temperament you will remember long after you have opened the bottle.
This originally Jamaican rum was produced at Worthy Park distillery, known for its production of high-ester rums, and aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels. You'll experience a true explosion of Jamaican flavours and aromas from the first sip. On the tongue, the fruit components of banana, pineapple, and citrus play a prominent role. A sweet and light lift is grounded by earthy and woody notes with vanilla and ginger. If you have sensitive taste buds, you will even detect whiffs of coconut, cocoa, and nuts.
