This prolonged aging process culminated in a total of 9 years, resulting in a remarkable rum bottled in March 2021 at a robust 58.5% ABV, with only 291 bottles produced. The rum boasts a powerful yet rounded character, showcasing a full-bodied, spicy, and coppery aroma profile that hints at stone fruits and coffee. The bouquet is enriched by notes of amarena cherries soaked in port, rum-soaked sultanas, and a light, pastry-like fragrance. Upon aeration, the rum develops a syrupy, sticky quality without any sweetness, complemented by a touch of resin, enhancing its concentrated impression. On the palate, the rum is generous and full-bodied, yet it maintains a balance without aggression or overpowering alcohol notes.
